We run Salman Travels from H. No. 11-06-13, which is located in the Christian Colony area. It’s a simple setup with a couple of desks, some chairs for people to sit while they wait, and a few maps pinned to the walls. We spend most of our day on the phone or staring at computer screens trying to find the right routes for travelers. It can get pretty stressful when a bus is delayed or someone loses their ticket, but we just try to solve the problems as they come up. We don't have a big neon sign or anything like that; people usually find us through word of mouth or because they live nearby. The office is small and often gets crowded when a whole family comes in to plan a trip together. We have a tea stall just down the street, so there is usually a cup of chai sitting on someone's desk. It isn't a glamorous job, but it’s interesting to hear about where people are going and why. Sometimes we handle local trips, and other times it's long-distance travel across different states. We try to keep our records straight and make sure everyone knows their departure times and pickup points. It’s a lot of talking and checking schedules, but it’s what we do. We’ve been at this spot for quite a while now and feel like a real part of the neighborhood.
