Rajaiah Kummari Works

Rajaiah Kummari Works is located at H. No -1-56 in the village of Dabeerpet. This is part of Khanapur in the Warangal area. We have been working with our hands here for a long time. The house number 1-56 is where everything happens, from the first bit of preparation to the final touches on whatever we are making. In Dabeerpet, things move a bit slower than they do in the city, which suits us just fine. We have our routine down, starting when the birds begin to wake up and ending when it gets too dark to see what we are doing. The workshop area is filled with the tools of our trade and usually a bit of dust from the materials we use. It is a traditional kind of setup, passed down through the family, I suppose. We don't use a lot of high-tech gadgets; we mostly rely on what we have learned over the years. People from around Khanapur sometimes stop by just to see what we are working on that week. It is a modest place, and we don't try to make it look like something it isn't. We just focus on the craft and try to keep the quality where it needs to be. It is quiet work, but it keeps us busy and provides for the family, which is all we really want.
