If you look for H. No 3-99 in Yellaigudem village, you’ll find Mounika Travels. We are located in the Chennaraopet mandal area. It’s a quiet place, mostly surrounded by fields and small houses. We started this travel business because people around here always need a way to get to the city or the next town. We have a few vehicles that we keep parked near the house. I spend a lot of my time on the phone, talking to people about where they need to go and when. The cars need a lot of cleaning because the roads around Yellaigudem can get quite dusty, especially in the dry season. We don’t have a fancy office with a waiting room. Most people just come to the door or call us up. Sometimes the drivers are late because of traffic on the main road, but we try to keep things moving as best as we can. It’s a small operation, mostly run by family and a couple of local guys who know the roads well. We aren't some big travel agency with a website and apps. We just know the routes and the people who live here. It’s a lot of long hours, sometimes starting before dawn if someone has a train to catch. But it’s a living, and we’ve been doing it for a while now without too much trouble. We just try to get people where they need to go.
