Motapalkula Srinivas Varma

Motapalkula Srinivas Varma is the name on the door here in Warangal 506002. It’s a typical local setup where things move at their own pace. I spend most of my time behind a wooden desk that I’ve had for over fifteen years. It’s got scratches and ink stains all over it but it works just fine. The office is located in a part of town that has stayed pretty much the same while the rest of Warangal grew up around it. I usually arrive early to beat the heat and get some paperwork out of the way before the phone starts ringing. There isn't a lot of staff here, maybe just a helper who runs errands and brings in the mail. We have a small cupboard filled with old files that I really should sort through one of these days. The window looks out onto a side street where kids play cricket in the evenings. It can get a bit loud but I don't really mind the noise. I’ve lived in this area most of my life so I know a lot of the faces that pass by. People often stick their heads in to ask a question or just to complain about the weather. It’s not a corporate environment by any means. It’s just a place where work happens in a steady, honest way. We don't use much technology besides a basic computer.
