Manimala Kiranam

Manimala Kiranam is a small grocery store we run at H. No -15-2-35/B11 in Rangampet. We are situated very close to K. M. C College, so we get a lot of students coming in throughout the day. They usually want pens, notebooks, or snacks between their classes. It is a busy little spot, especially in the evenings when everyone is heading home. We sell all the basic stuff like grains, spices, oils, and household items. The shop is a bit cramped because we try to fit as much as possible onto the wooden shelves. There isn't much room to move around when more than three people are inside. I’ve been running this place with my family for years. We don't have a fancy billing system; we just know the prices and use a simple calculator. Sometimes we sit on stools outside the door when it’s quiet. We know most of the people who live in the surrounding streets. If someone is short a few rupees, we usually let it slide until next time. That is just how things work in a neighborhood like Rangampet. We don't do any advertising or have big signs. People just know we are the shop near the college. It is a lot of work, opening early and closing late, but it keeps us connected to the community. We just keep the shelves stocked and wait for the next customer.
