Manikanta Earth Movers

Manikanta Earth Movers is located over in Ammapuram, right at 3-27/1 in Harijana Colony. We mostly deal with dirt, rocks, and digging work around Thorrur and Khanapur. I started this business because there was always a need for heavy machinery for small construction jobs or clearing out land for farming. It is mostly just me and a couple of operators who know how to handle the machines properly. We spend a lot of time out in the sun at different sites. The equipment takes a lot of maintenance, so when we are not out digging, we are usually fixing something or greasing the joints. Most of our jobs come from people we know in the village or farmers who need a bit of leveling done on their plots. We do not do any advertising; people just see the machines working and ask for our phone number. The ground around here can be pretty tough to work with, especially during the dry season when everything turns to hard clay. It is a lot of long hours, and sometimes the weather does not cooperate, but that is just how this kind of business goes. We keep the machines parked near the house in Harijana Colony when they are not out on a job. It is a straightforward living for us. We just show up, do the digging that is asked of us, and move on to the next spot in Khanapur.
