Kethamma Farms

Our place is Kethamma Farms, located right at H.No:-2-45/1 in Rangapuram. This is out in the Kanapuram area of Warangal. It’s where I was born and where I’m likely to stay. The farm takes up most of my hours from dawn until it’s dark. We don’t have much use for fancy words or big plans here. It’s about the soil and making sure things grow right. Some days are harder than others when the heat is really heavy. I spend a lot of time walking the fields and checking on everything. The house is old but it works for us. Living in Rangapuram means you know all your neighbors and they know you. We help each other out when a tractor gets stuck or someone needs an extra hand. It’s a simple way to live, really. You wake up, you eat, and you get to work. There isn’t much time for sitting around. My hands are rough because of the tools and the dry ground. Sometimes the market prices are good and sometimes they aren’t, but the work doesn’t change. I like the smell of the earth after it rains. It makes all the sweat feel worth it. We just keep our heads down and do what needs doing. It is a lot of physical labor, but it’s what I know. We’ve been at this address for years and don’t plan on going anywhere else.
