Amrutha The Designer

I run Amrutha The Designer out of a space in Revenue Colony. It’s located at 1-7-345 in Hanamkonda, right near the Ramalayam Temple. It’s a quiet enough street most of the time, except during festival days when the temple gets crowded. I spend most of my hours here working on different designs and sketches. It started out small and stayed that way, which I actually prefer. There are usually pieces of fabric and sketches scattered around my workspace. People come in with an idea of what they want, and I try to figure out how to make it work. Sometimes the ideas are simple, other times they take a lot of thinking. I don’t use a lot of fancy software; it’s mostly just me and my tools. Warangal has a lot of history with textiles, and I like being part of that in my own way. The light in the shop is good in the afternoon, which helps when I’m focusing on small details. It’s not a big corporate setup. It’s just me doing the work day in and day out. Sometimes I get behind on my schedule when a project gets complicated, but I try to keep things moving. I’ve lived in this area for a long time, so I know a lot of the folks who walk by. It’s a nice way to spend the day, even when it gets a bit stressful with deadlines.
