We are located right on the NIT Main Road in Hanamkonda. It’s a busy spot because of all the students and folks living in the houses nearby. To be honest, the place isn't very big, but we manage to fit everything in somehow. We mostly deal with traditional stuff, things you’d find in a kitchen at home. Most mornings involve a lot of sorting through spices or checking on the jars of stuff we've made. My hands usually smell like turmeric or chili by noon. It's a bit of a routine we've got going here every day. The shelves are mostly full of different powders and pickles we've packed ourselves into small plastic containers. Sometimes people come in asking for things we don't have yet, so we just tell them to come back next week or the day after. It’s a lot of standing around and talking to neighbors who pop their heads in. The sun hits the front window pretty hard in the afternoons, so it gets a bit warm inside. We have a small wooden stool by the door where I sit when there’s a quiet moment between customers. It isn't like those big supermarkets where everything is under bright lights and packed in fancy boxes. Here, it’s just a regular shop where we know most of the people who walk through the door. We spend a lot of time just making sure everything is sealed up right so it stays fresh for everyone.
