Saraswathi Junior College

Over in Madheena Nagar, right in the Bhupalpally area of Parkal, you’ll find Saraswathi Junior College. It’s a place where students come after they finish their basic schooling to get ready for whatever comes next in their lives. The college is tucked into the neighborhood and we’ve become a very familiar sight for the people living around here. Every year, a new group of students shows up, and we spend our time getting them settled into their new schedules. The building isn't brand new, so there’s always something that needs a bit of paint or a quick fix from the local handyman. We don't spend money on big advertisements; people usually find out about us just by walking past or hearing from a neighbor whose kid came here. Our day starts early with the faculty arriving to get the labs and classrooms open before the sun gets too high. It gets pretty loud during the lunch break when everyone is out in the corridors talking. We focus on the textbooks and making sure the entire syllabus is covered before the final exam dates arrive. Sometimes the weather makes it hard for everyone to focus, but the students generally stick to their desks. It’s a very standard college environment for this area. We’ve got the usual rows of wooden benches and plenty of notebooks being filled up with notes. It’s just a small college doing its part in Parkal, keeping things moving year after year for the local teenagers.
