Our office is located over in Kazipet, specifically in Fathima Nagar at house number 24-5-178. It is a pretty quiet residential pocket compared to the busier parts of town. Working as consulting engineers here means we spend a lot of time looking at blueprints and talking to contractors over the phone. The house itself is nothing special, just a regular place where we have set up our desks and computers. Sometimes the trains passing by the Kazipet junction make enough noise that we have to pause our conversations for a second. It is just part of being in this area. We usually have a few people coming in and out during the day, mostly just local folks or guys from the sites we are helping with. The neighborhood has changed a bit over the years, more houses coming up and the roads getting paved properly. It gets quite dusty in the summer months, so we spend a lot of time cleaning the fans and the desks. We aren't trying to be some massive international firm, we just do our engineering work right from here. Most days are pretty much the same, starting early before it gets too hot and finishing up when the light fades. We have a small kettle for coffee and that is about as fancy as it gets in our office. It’s a simple setup but it works for what we need to do every day. We just focus on the drawings and making sure everything is correct.
