Madren Foot Wear

We are based at H.No:-031 in Gajulagattu, which is a small spot in Gudur. Our business is all about footwear. We don't have a big store in a mall or anything like that. It’s just a workspace where we put shoes together. You can smell the glue and the leather as soon as you walk in. It’s a craft we’ve been doing for a long time now. Gajulagattu is a quiet place, so it’s easy to focus on the work without too many distractions. Most of the people who buy from us are from the local villages around Gudur. They know our shoes last a long time on the rough roads. We use simple tools and do a lot of the work by hand. It’s not fast, but it’s the way we’ve always done it. Sometimes it’s hard to get the right materials delivered out here, so we have to make do with what we have. The workshop is small and gets a bit crowded when we have a lot of orders to finish. We don't have any fancy marketing or a website. Word just travels from person to person when they see someone wearing a pair of our boots or sandals. We just sit on our stools, do the stitching, and hope the weather stays clear so the leather dries right. It’s a humble way to make a living and we’re happy with it here in our little corner of Gudur.
