Ganesh Foot Ware

We have been here at house number 2-64 in Ayodhyapur for a good while now. Ganesh Foot Ware isn't some fancy mall store, just a regular shop where people from around Gudur come when their sandals break or they need something new for a wedding. Most days it is quiet, just me sitting behind the counter watching the street. I keep a lot of different sizes, though sometimes we run out of the popular ones and I have to tell folks to come back next week. It’s a bit dusty because of the road right outside, but the shoes are kept clean in their boxes. People know us here. They come in, try a few pairs, walk around the small floor space to see if they pinch, and then we chat about the weather or local news. It’s nothing special, really. Just a place to get something to wear on your feet. I try to stock things that last because the roads around here aren't the best and shoes take a beating. Some days the lights flicker a bit, but we manage fine. I know most of the faces that walk through the door. It feels good when someone brings their kid in for their first pair of school shoes. That's how life goes in Ayodhyapur. We open early and stay until the evening. If you're passing through Gudur, you’ll see our sign.
