Kaneya Stone Quarry

Kaneya Stone Quarry is based out of No. B/408 in Abhishek Estate, right on Talaw Road. If you know the area, you know the traffic on Talaw Road can be a bit much during the day, especially with all the movement around the estate. Our office is where we handle the scheduling and the books for the quarrying side of things. It’s not a very big office, but it serves its purpose for us. We spend most of our time dealing with stone, looking at different grades and figuring out where the next load needs to go. There is always dust on the boots here, even if we are just sitting at the desks in Abhishek Estate for a few hours. The phone rings a lot with people asking about loads or checking if the trucks are on the way. We’ve been here for a good bit, and the walls are starting to show some age, but it’s a working office. We don't have fancy furniture or coffee machines, just what we need to get through the day's work. Dealing with stone is straightforward, but the logistics of moving it across the roads can be a headache sometimes. We try to keep things organized, though sometimes the paperwork piles up on the desks faster than we can file it. It's just us here, making sure the stone moves from the ground to where it’s needed. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish the logs when the trucks come in after dark. The walls in Abhishek Estate are a little thin, so we hear the neighbors too. It’s not a fancy life, but we take care of the stone.
