Iyappa Computers

If you are walking down Durgam Road, you might miss us if you don't look up at the signs. Iyappa Computers is located on the first floor. It is a bit quieter up there away from the noise of the street traffic. We started this place because there weren't many people fixing computers in this specific part of the area. The stairs are a little steep, so we see people huffing a bit when they carry their big desktop towers up to see us. The room is usually filled with the low hum of cooling fans and the steady clicking of keyboards. We have a few long benches where we line up the different projects we are working on each day. Some days it is all software updates and cleaning out viruses, and other days we are swapping out broken laptop screens. We don't have a big team here, just a couple of us who know our way around a circuit board. We keep a big stash of cables and power adapters because people always seem to be missing the one they need. Durgam Road stays pretty busy throughout the day, so we get a good mix of people coming in. We don't have a fancy business plan or anything like that. We just like to get things working again so people can go back to their own lives. It is a practical business and the view from the first floor gives us a good look at the neighborhood.
