Sas Agro Foods

Sas Agro Foods is based out of unit 71 in the Ida Nellimarla area. It’s mostly industrial around here, so there is always a lot of activity with tractors and trucks moving through the gates. We deal with agricultural products, mostly sorting and getting them ready for whatever comes next. The facility isn't brand new, but it works for what we need to do every day. We usually start the machines early when the weather is still cool. Working with food items means we have to stay on top of things, so there is rarely a quiet moment during the shift. You can smell the grain and produce when you walk near the doors. It is a straightforward operation without any big corporate frills. We have a small crew of people who have been with us for a while and they know the routine by heart. Sometimes the equipment acts up, and we have to spend the afternoon fixing a belt or cleaning out a bin, but that's just how it goes in an agro business. We don't spend much time on the computer unless we have to check an order or talk to a farmer. Mostly, our hands are busy with the actual stock. It is hard work, but it keeps us going. We’ve been at this spot for a bit now and the neighbors in the industrial estate are all familiar faces. It's just a regular day-to-day business trying to get the food where it needs to go without making too much of a fuss about it.
