Prasad General Stores

Prasad General Stores is out in Perumali Village, which is part of the Therlam Mandal in the Vizianagaram district. Our place is on Plot Number 5-171. Being in a village means things move a bit slower than in the big cities, but we still have plenty to do. We stock all the basic stuff that families around here need so they don't have to travel too far out. The shop is a simple building, and we spend most of our time organizing the shelves and talking to the people who walk in. Since it is a rural area, we know almost everyone who comes through the door by name. It’s not a fancy supermarket, just a regular general store with a counter and some benches outside where people sometimes sit and talk for a bit. The weather gets quite hot here, so the old fan is always running in the corner to keep things a bit cool. We open up early in the morning because that is when the village is most active with people going to the fields or school. Sometimes we run out of things if the supply truck from the city gets delayed, but we manage somehow. We aren't trying to be the biggest store, just a reliable place for the local community. My father started this business years ago, and now we just keep it going day by day. It’s honest work, and it keeps us connected to everyone in the village.
