Amma Brick Industry

Our yard at Amma Brick Industry is down on Rama Kovil Street in Alamanda Village. You can find us at Plot No.14 if you’re heading through the Jami Mandal Tehsil area of Vizianagaram District. We’ve been here long enough that most of the locals know the way. It’s a basic operation. We don’t have a showroom or a website. Most of our day is spent out in the open, dealing with the raw earth and the heat of the fires. It is heavy work and your clothes get ruined pretty fast. We just focus on making the bricks that folks around here need for their houses. The street gets a bit crowded when the tractors are loading up, but we manage to get by. Alamanda Village is a nice place to work, even if the weather doesn't always go our way. We don’t have any fancy titles or a corporate office. It is just us, the soil, and the finished stacks of bricks. Sometimes things get a bit disorganized when we have a big order, but we clear it up eventually. If you come by Rama Kovil Street, you’ll see the piles of bricks waiting at Plot No.14. We don’t spend time on the computer or doing much paperwork. We’d rather be out there making sure the production is moving along. It’s a plain and simple way to earn a living in Vizianagaram.
