If you ever find yourself near the Kothavalasa railway station in Vizianagaram, you’ll likely hear the noise from our yard. Alok Ingots Ltd. is situated right behind the PWI office. It’s a convenient spot because of the station, but it’s definitely not a quiet one. We’ve been operating from this Andhra Pradesh location for a good while. The work we do involves a lot of heavy lifting and high temperatures, so it’s pretty exhausting. We don't have a polished front desk or any of that corporate stuff. It’s mostly just the guys in their work clothes and the smell of hot metal. We have a decent-sized team, mostly locals from the Kothavalasa area. We like it here because everyone knows us. If a delivery driver gets lost, they just ask someone at the station and they get pointed toward the PWI office. Our buildings are simple and functional. We don’t spend money on decorations or big advertisements. Most of our business comes from people who have known us for years. The summers here can be brutal, especially when you’re standing near the furnaces, but we just get on with it. It’s a basic, honest way to make a living. We don't have any big corporate plans; we just focus on making sure the ingots are ready for whoever needs them next.
