Young Looks The Salon is located right in Akkayyapalem at Door No:39-16-3. We are in Lalitha Nagar, which is a busy little part of Visakhapatnam. If you look across the street, you’ll see Sampath Sono Scan, so that’s how most people find us. I’ve lived in Vizag most of my life and setting up this shop here felt like the right move. The humidity from the sea can really mess with people's hair, so we see a lot of folks coming in for a quick wash or a cut. It is a humble setup with the basic equipment we need to get through the day. I usually start the day by sweeping the front step and checking the water. We get people from all walks of life, some coming from the clinic across the way and others who just live in the nearby apartments. It’s not one of those loud, trendy places you see in the malls. It’s quiet and we just get to work. Sometimes the traffic outside gets noisy, but inside it’s just the sound of scissors and the fan. We have been here for a bit now and have some regulars who don't even have to tell us what they want anymore. We just know. It’s a local business through and through. We stay open until late evening most days because that’s when people get off work. I usually have tea around four in the afternoon while waiting for the next person.
