Vishal Supermarket

If you live in P R Colony, you’ve probably walked past our doors more than a few times. Vishal Supermarket is located at 9-25-874, and it’s basically where we spend most of our lives. It’s not one of those massive malls where you get lost. We have everything packed into the aisles here. Sometimes it feels a bit tight when we get a big delivery of rice bags or flour, and we have to stack them near the entrance. The mornings are always the craziest. That’s when the milk and bread arrive, and the locals come in before heading to work. We know most of the people by name, and we know what they usually buy. If someone forgot their wallet, they just pay us the next day. It’s that kind of place. We don’t use any complicated systems for our stock, just a lot of lists and keeping track of what’s running low. The shelves need constant dusting because of the road outside, so you’ll often see one of us with a cloth in hand. We try to keep things fresh, especially the vegetables we get from the market. It’s a lot of long hours, standing behind the counter and talking to neighbors. There’s no big corporate strategy here. We just want to make sure the neighborhood has what it needs for dinner every single night without having to travel too far from home.
