Vijaya Durga Tours & Travels

We started Vijaya Durga Tours & Travels here in Railway New Colony a good while back. It is not a very big office, just a simple place near the Subba Lakshmi Kalyana Mandapam. If you know Visakhapatnam well, you know this part of town gets busy during wedding season because of the hall nearby. Most days we are just sitting here handling bookings for cars and trips. People come in or call us up when they need to go somewhere out of town or just a drop to the station. Being in 530016 means we are pretty central. The heat in Vizag can be a lot, so we try to keep the shop cool for anyone who drops by to talk about their travel plans. It is just me and a couple of other people helping out. We don't have fancy brochures or a big corporate team. We just know the local roads and which drivers are reliable for long hauls. Sometimes things get a bit hectic when multiple families want the same kind of vehicle on a weekend, but we manage somehow. It is a straightforward business, really. We just want to make sure the car shows up on time and the person driving knows where they are going. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. New shops come and go, but we are still here in the same spot, doing what we do every day. It’s quiet in the mornings before the phone starts ringing. We just take it one day at a time.
