Venkata Krishna General Stores

We have been running Venkata Krishna General Stores on Police Station Road in Gajuwaka for quite a few years now. It’s just a small place, nothing like those big supermarkets you see popping up everywhere in Visakhapatnam lately. We keep the usual things people need every day, like bags of rice, different kinds of dals, soaps, and cooking oils. If you live around here, you probably walk past us all the time. The shop gets pretty crowded in the evenings when everyone is heading home from work and realizes they forgot to buy milk or sugar for their tea. I try to keep the shelves organized, but sometimes it gets a bit cluttered when new stock arrives and I haven't had a chance to put it all away properly. My nephew helps me out sometimes when he isn’t busy with his college work. We know most of the neighbors and what they usually buy. It's a simple life. The street outside can get really noisy with all the traffic near the police station, but inside it’s just us doing our work. We don't have fancy displays or anything like that. Just plain shelves and a counter where we weigh things out. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to use a torch to find things in the back storage area. It’s just how things are in a local shop. We try to be helpful to everyone who walks through the door.
