United Saloon

United Saloon is over in Vudacolony, which is part of Gajuwaka in Visakhapatnam. We are located near Timpany School, so we get a lot of kids coming in with their dads, especially on the weekends or before school starts back up after a break. The area is mostly residential, so it feels quiet compared to the main market. Our shop is just a small space where we do haircuts and shaves. We have the usual stuff you expect to see in a local salon, like a couple of chairs, some sharp scissors, and a radio that is usually playing in the background. It is a simple setup without any fancy decorations. People from the colony just walk over when they need a trim. We know most of the faces that come through the door since they live just a few streets away. The shop opens up in the morning and we stay here until the evening lights come on. There is no big team, just a few of us taking turns with the clippers. Sometimes the wait is long if there are many people, but there is a bench to sit on. It is just a basic place for the neighborhood to get their grooming done. We don't do anything complicated, just standard cuts for the people living near the school in Vudacolony. It stays busy enough to keep us on our feet all day. Sometimes we have to tell the kids to stay still while we work around their ears.
