The Park Hotel

The Park Hotel has been operating for 22 weeks out of the Jaypee Palace in Agra, while also having ties to Kotdwara in the state of Uttaranchal. This setup is a bit unusual compared to a standard fixed address, but it’s how things have been going for us lately. We’ve been spending a lot of time in Agra, dealing with the daily requirements of the hotel business there. It’s a lot of work managing guests and making sure the rooms are ready, especially in a place as busy as Agra. Then we have the connection back to Kotdwara, which is a different pace altogether. Moving between these places involves a lot of coordination and keeping track of things on the go. We don’t have a permanent, polished headquarters at the moment; we just work from where we are needed. It’s a practical way of doing things when you’re in the middle of a long-term project or transition. We focus on the tasks at hand, whether it’s in Uttaranchal or down in Agra. The staff just gets on with whatever needs doing at the Jaypee Palace during this period. It’s about being flexible and making sure the service doesn’t slip just because we are moving around. We don't use big words to describe it; it's just hard work and a lot of travel. Every week brings a new set of challenges, but we’ve managed to keep things going for nearly half a year now in this specific way.
