Taj Kirana Shop

We are located on Muslim Street in the Akkayyapalem area. If you know where the Port Hospital is, we are just a short walk from there. Visakhapatnam can get really humid, especially in this neighborhood, so we try to keep the shop as airy as we can. Taj Kirana Shop has been serving the families around here for a good amount of time. We aren’t a big supermarket or anything fancy. It’s just a small shop where you can find your basics like cooking oil, rice, and those little packets of shampoo. A lot of our regulars are people working at the hospital or living in the nearby houses. They come in early in the morning for milk and bread before their shifts start. The street outside can get a bit cramped with parked scooters, but people always find a way to squeeze in. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just sit by the door until it comes back, watching the traffic go by on Muslim Street. We don’t spend money on big signs or bright lights. Most people know we are here just by walking past. We try to keep the stuff people want most right at the front so it’s easy to grab. It’s a quiet kind of business, mostly just weighing out grains and making sure we don’t run out of the popular biscuits everyone likes with their tea.
