Our shop, Srinivasa Hair Styles, is located in Dhallivanipalem, which is part of the Pedha Gantyada area in Gajuwaka. If you are looking for us, we are right opposite the big Telephone Tower, so it is quite hard to miss. Gajuwaka is a busy part of Visakhapatnam with all the industry and traffic nearby. We get a lot of workers and local residents coming in throughout the week. The shop is a basic setup with a few barber chairs and some old pictures on the walls to look at. It has been here for a while now. We do not have any fancy stuff, just the standard tools for a decent haircut and a shave. The Telephone Tower is a good landmark for people who are not from this specific street. It gets pretty dusty with all the traffic in Pedha Gantyada, so we are always cleaning the mirrors and the floor when we have a free minute. It is a small team here, mostly just me and a helper. We know most of our customers by their first names because they have been coming to us for years and years. We talk about the local cricket matches or the news in Vizag while we work. It is a very normal, everyday kind of place for the local men. We do not try to be anything we are not. We just provide a place for a quick cut.
