Sri Venkata Kirana & General Store

If you live near Hunamantha Wada Junction in Visakhapatnam, you might have seen our shop. Sri Venkata Kirana & General Store has been around for a while. We sell the usual kirana items like rice, dals, and oils. The junction is always a bit noisy with all the traffic passing through, but we are used to it by now. It is a family thing, so we take turns sitting at the desk. Most people around here know us by name. We don't do any big advertising or things like that. People just walk in when they realize they forgot to buy sugar or salt. We have different brands of shampoos and soaps too. Sometimes the kids from the street come in for some sweets or chips after school. The space inside is a bit cramped because we try to pack in as much as possible so that nobody goes back empty-handed. It gets a bit dusty because of the road, but we try to keep things clean enough. Working in a kirana store means long hours from early morning till late evening. We don't really have a closing day unless there is a big festival or a family wedding to attend. It's just how we make our living. Nothing too fancy about it, just a local shop for local people. Most of our regulars just tell us what they want and we pack it up in a bag for them. It works out fine.
