Sri Tirumala General Stores

Sri Tirumala General Stores is down at 10-8-53 on Kanithi Road in Gajuwaka. We’ve been in this part of Visakhapatnam for a good number of years now. It’s a straightforward shop where you can find your daily groceries and household needs. Kanithi Road stays pretty busy with traffic, so there’s always a bit of noise from the bikes and cars outside. The store isn't anything special to look at, just a regular place with shelves full of goods. I spend most of my time restocking or checking what we’re running low on. Sometimes the humidity in Vizag makes things feel a bit sticky, so I keep the fan running at full speed. People in Gajuwaka know us as a place to get things quickly. I don't have a computer for billing; I still do most of it by hand or just remember the prices. It works fine for us. The 530026 area has many shops, but we have our regular customers who have been coming to us since they were young. It’s a quiet life in a busy street. I open up early and close when the street lights have been on for a while. There’s always something to do, like cleaning the glass jars or organizing the packets of lentils. It’s just how a local general store runs, day in and day out, without any big changes. My back hurts sometimes from lifting the heavy rice bags, but that is just part of the job.
