Sri Laxmi Sravani General Stores

We opened Sri Laxmi Sravani General Stores on Kanthi Road quite a while back now. It is just a small place in Visakhapatnam, zip code 530003, where we keep all the daily things people need. Most mornings start with us unlocking the shutters and sweeping the front step before the sun gets too hot. There is always a lot to do, like checking what is left on the shelves and making sure nothing is sitting there for too long. We have the usual stuff, soaps, packets of snacks, and things for the kitchen. People from around the neighborhood stop by while they are walking home or heading out. Sometimes the delivery trucks take a bit of time to find us on Kanthi Road, but we manage. It is not a fancy shop with bright lights, just a regular general store where we try to keep everything tidy enough. My hands are usually busy moving crates or counting change. We have been here for a bit and know most of the faces that come through the door. It gets a bit crowded in the evenings when everyone finishes work. We just stay focused on getting through the list of things to do. Sometimes I forget to order something and have to write it down on a scrap of paper. That is just how it goes here in Visakhapatnam. We just keep the door open and wait for the next person to come in.
