Sri Krishna General Stores

We’ve been running this general store at 3-9-876 in the Daba Gardens area for quite a while now. We are right in Santha Pet, which is a part of town that has its own rhythm. The shop is full of all sorts of things, from basic spices and grains to small household items. It’s the kind of place where things are stacked up high to save space. We don’t have a lot of room to move around, especially when a few customers are inside at the same time. The counter is an old wooden one that has been smoothed out over the years by people leaning on it. We know most of our customers by their faces, and we often know exactly what they want before they even ask. The street outside can be quite chaotic with bikes and people walking by, but inside it feels a bit more familiar. We don't use any high-tech systems here. We weigh things out on an old scale and write down the totals on paper slips. It’s a simple way of doing things, but it’s what we know. Sometimes we run out of things and have to wait for the next delivery truck, but people around here are patient. It’s a small, local business that has stayed the same while the area around it changed. We just keep doing what we’ve always done. The wooden shelves are a bit dusty, and the street lamp shines through the door in the evening, making the place look peaceful before we close for the night.
