Sri Kanakamahalakshmi General Stores

My shop, Sri Kanakamahalakshmi General Stores, is tucked away in Ayyappa Nagar. The official address is H.No:-37-10-119/2, which sounds complicated but it's just where I spend most of my hours. We are part of the Nggo`S Colony in the Madhavadara area of Visakhapatnam. It’s a decent neighborhood and I’ve gotten to know the families around here well. People stop by for milk or soap or whatever they ran out of in their kitchen. Working in Vizag can be humid, but the breeze from the coast sometimes reaches us. I try to keep the place organized, though with so many small packets and tins, it gets a bit cluttered sometimes. I don't have a big team or anything, it’s just me and sometimes a family member helping out when it’s busy. The 530007 pincode area is quite active. Most of my day is spent chatting with customers while weighing out grains or counting change. It’s a basic life, but it keeps me busy from morning till late evening. I’ve seen the colony change over the years, more houses coming up and more people moving into Madhavadara. The shop isn't anything special to look at from the outside, just a regular storefront with a blue shutter. We just stay here and do our work day in and day out, making sure we have what the Nggo`S Colony residents need. It's a steady job and I'm happy to be right here in Ayyappa Nagar.
