Sri Gajanana Trading Company

We are out at 35, Road Number 1 in Lankelapalem. It’s a bit of a trek from the main city, but being on Road Number 1 makes it easy for the trucks to find us. The area is quite open and dusty, with a lot of heavy vehicles moving back and forth all day long. Sri Gajanana Trading Company is basically a big warehouse with a small partitioned area that we use as an office. It gets very hot under the tin roof during the summer, so we have a couple of big pedestal fans that mostly just push the warm air around. We spend our days checking manifests and making sure the loading happens correctly. There’s a small tea stall across the road where we usually go for lunch. The furniture in the office is just some basic tables and chairs that have been here since we opened. We don’t really bother with decorations or anything like that. It’s a straightforward operation. Sometimes the rain hits the roof so loud we can’t even hear the phone ringing. We just deal with whatever comes our way. The people around here are all in the same line of work, so it’s a pretty tight community. It’s just honest work in a dusty part of town. We stay until the last truck leaves for the night.
