We are located at Shop No 1 right on Kanthi Road in Gajuwaka. Most people in the neighborhood know where we are since we’ve been here a while. It’s a busy part of Visakhapatnam, especially in the mornings when everyone is rushing to work or getting things for breakfast. The shop isn't huge, just a standard room filled with bags of rice, pulses, and those small packets of snacks that kids like. We keep the usual things people need daily, like soap, oil, and spices. It gets quite hot here in the afternoons, so the ceiling fan is always running, even if it makes a bit of a clicking sound. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the front for a bit, which can be annoying for the neighbors, but that’s just how it goes on this road. We spend a lot of time just dusting the jars and making sure the crates are stacked right so nobody trips. People come in and talk about the weather or the price of onions while we weigh out their orders. It’s not fancy at all, just a regular kirana store where we know many of the faces coming through the door. Usually, it's just one or two of us behind the counter trying to keep everything organized. The shelves are packed pretty tight, so you have to look closely to find what you want sometimes. It is just a simple life here in Gajuwaka.
