Speech And Hearing Clinic

This clinic is tucked away on Shanti Nivas Lane in Ram Nagar. We are right beside Care Hospital, so if you find the hospital, you’ve basically found us. It’s a quiet enough lane compared to the main roads. We deal with hearing aids and speech therapy here. It’s not a flashy office, just some rooms with basic furniture and the testing tools. We spend our mornings checking the schedules and making sure the batteries for the hearing aids are in stock. People come in from all over Ram Nagar. Some are regulars who have been coming for years and others are new faces. We try to keep things simple. If someone has trouble hearing, we test them. If a child needs help with their words, we work on that. It's a lot of patience and repetition. The building itself, Shanti Nivas, is an older one but it’s sturdy. We have some plants by the window that I forget to water sometimes. It feels more like a home than a hospital. We don’t wear fancy uniforms, just regular clothes that are comfortable for a long day. Most of our day is spent listening to how people are doing. It’s a good way to earn a living. We’re glad to be in this part of Ram Nagar. Sometimes the rain makes the lane a bit muddy, but we just put down a mat and keep going with our daily work.
