Vijaya Diagnostic Centre

You can find us in Lakshmi Nagar, Gopalapatnam, right on the road near Rama Road No. 14-437/1. We’ve been part of this Visakhapatnam community for a while, and most people around here know us for the morning queues. The center isn't very big, so it gets a bit cramped when several people come in for blood tests at the same time. We have the usual plastic chairs in the waiting area and a small desk where we take down everyone's details. The technicians are always busy in the back with the samples, and you can hear the machines running most of the day. It smells like disinfectant inside, which I guess is better than the humidity and dust outside on the street. We deal with all sorts of people, from parents bringing in kids to the elderly who’ve lived in Gopalapatnam their whole lives. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait for the generator to kick in so the equipment stays cool. We try to get the reports out as fast as we can, but some tests just take their own time. It’s a straightforward job, helping people figure out what’s going on with their health without any complicated talk. We close up once the last sample is processed and start all over again the next morning when the sun comes up over the coast. It is a busy but steady life here.
