Scissors & Mirrors Hair Grooming Session

You can find us at Shop No:10 in Sirigudi Arcade, which is part of Krishna Towers in Srinagar. We are right by the Ramatalkies area in Visakhapatnam. The shop is called Scissors & Mirrors Hair Grooming Session, though most people just call it the salon at the arcade. It’s not a huge place, just enough room for the stations and some chairs for people to sit while they wait. The walls have some simple decorations and the mirrors are kept clean so everyone can see the progress of their haircut. We get a mix of students and office workers coming in. Since we are near the towers, there is always someone needing a quick groom. We don't have a lot of rules here. It is a relaxed environment where we talk about movies or the weather while working. The clippers hum all day long. Sometimes we have three or four people waiting and the conversation gets quite lively. We use the standard tools you'd expect in any barber shop. Nothing is overly fancy. We just focus on the hair and making sure the client is happy with their hair before they head back out into the Vizag heat. It’s a steady job and we enjoy the people who stop by. Being in the heart of Srinagar means there is never a dull moment. We are happy to be here. Every day is different.
