Satish Shop

If you go down to Old Gajuwaka in Chaitanya Nagar, you will find Satish Shop at number 45. It’s just a regular local store that’s been around for quite some time. We don't have a big team or anything, just us running the place day in and day out. The shop is packed with all sorts of things, from plastic buckets to packets of spice. We try to keep a bit of everything because you never know what someone will ask for. Sometimes the shelves look a bit messy, but that’s because we are constantly moving things around to make room for new stock. It’s a busy neighborhood, and there is always noise from the street outside. We get a lot of workers coming in for their daily supplies. We don't use any fancy computers for billing, just a simple pen and paper or a basic calculator. It works fine for us. The building is an old one, and it gets a bit warm in the summer, but we have a small fan that helps. We aren't trying to be a big supermarket. We just want to be the place where you can get a single egg or a pack of matches without any trouble. People in Chaitanya Nagar know us by name, and we know them. It’s a nice community to be in. We just keep doing our thing, opening up every morning and closing when the street gets quiet.
