Satish Salon

Satish Salon sits right on the Main Road in Pothimallayapalem, Visakhapatnam. We are very easy to find because we are so close to the 3rd Bus Stop. A lot of people getting off the bus stop in for a quick trim before they head home to their families. The air here can get quite humid because we are in Vizag, so we try to keep the shop as airy as we can with the ceiling fans going full speed. It’s a straightforward place with a couple of chairs and some mirrors that have seen better days. We don't do any of that fancy spa stuff, just basic hair cutting and shaving for the men in the area. You can hear the buses pulling up and the conductors shouting all day long outside the door. It's a busy spot but we like the energy of the Main Road. Most of our regulars are guys who work nearby or live in the surrounding streets. We’ve been here for a while, and the shop has become a bit of a local fixture for the neighborhood. There's usually an old newspaper lying around for people to read while they wait their turn. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us working the chairs and keeping the place going. It’s hard work standing all day, but seeing the same familiar faces makes it better. We just focus on giving a clean cut and sending people on their way home.
