Sarada Plastic Works

Our shop is located at 3-26-95 on Rama Talkies Road in the Srinagar area. It is a busy place where we keep all sorts of plastic items stacked up. Stacks of plastic items like buckets and containers fill the shelves from floor to ceiling. The road outside is always loud with the sound of scooters and people talking. We spend our mornings moving things around to make space for whatever arrived the day before. The floor is made of old concrete and it has a few cracks, but it works for us. When it rains, the sound on the roof is so loud we can hardly hear each other. A small fan hums in the corner to keep the air moving because it gets quite stuffy with all the plastic around. Sometimes people stop by just to ask for directions because of the Rama Talkies landmark nearby. The team here is small, just a couple of us who know where everything is kept. It takes some time to find specific items in the back, but we usually get there. The sign out front has faded a bit over the years from the sun. We keep a ledger on the wooden desk to track what goes out. It is a simple way of doing things, but it has worked for a long time. We mostly deal with regulars who live nearby and need something for their homes or small businesses. We open up early and close once the street gets quiet.
