Santoshi Saloon

Santoshi Saloon is located in the Nellimukku area of Gajuwaka. If you go near the Nellimukku Police Station, you will see our shop right there. It’s a small, basic place that we keep as clean as we can. We have two main chairs for cutting hair and a small bench against the wall for anyone who has to wait their turn. The walls are decorated with a couple of old calendars and a picture of the gods with some dried flowers. We don't have air conditioning, so we leave the front door open most of the time to get a breeze, even though the dust from the road comes in with it. Most of our customers are men from the surrounding houses who just want a quick trim or a shave before they go to work. We use standard soaps and creams that you can find at any local store. The sink in the back sometimes makes a gurgling noise when the water drains out, which always makes the kids laugh. We don't have a big staff, just us working through the day. Sometimes we close for an hour in the middle of the day to go home and eat lunch. It’s a quiet life here in this part of Vizag, and the shop is just a part of the daily routine for the people who live nearby.
