Sai Kalpanas Apparels

We are up here on the first floor of Pakkis Complex in Dwaraka Nagar. Most people find us by looking for Street No: 2 and then seeing the sign near the stairs. It is just two flats, 201 and 202, that we turned into a workspace for the apparel business. Usually, there are piles of fabric everywhere and the sound of machines going from morning until the evening. It gets a bit crowded when a new shipment of cloth comes in, especially in the hallway between the two rooms. We have been here for a while now, just doing our daily work with the needles and thread. The light in the rooms is okay, but we had to add more lamps so the workers can see the small stitches clearly. Sometimes the fans are not enough when it is hot outside, but we keep going. You can hear the traffic from the street below all day long. We just focus on getting the clothes finished and packed up. It is not a fancy place, just a regular office where we cut and sew. Usually, someone is always running down to grab tea or talk to the delivery guys waiting at the entrance. It feels like a second home because we spend so many hours here in these two flats. We don't have a big lobby or anything like that, just the work tables and the storage shelves filled with different colored threads and buttons.
