Sai Ganesh Kirana & General Stores is at 2-9-6/2 in Gajuwaka, Visakhapatnam. Our shop is 530026 and sits right opposite the bus stop, so it is a very convenient place for people traveling. We see hundreds of people waiting for their buses every day. Many of them pop in to buy a bottle of water or some biscuits for their journey. The shop is not very large, but we make use of every inch of space. We have bags of rice and sugar stacked against the back wall. Because we are near the coast in Vizag, the air is often salty and damp, which means we have to be careful with how we store the grains. We use heavy plastic containers to keep everything fresh. The noise from the buses and the conductors shouting is something we have just stopped noticing after all these years. It is a fast-paced spot but we try to serve everyone as quickly as we can. My son helps me out in the evenings after he finishes his college classes. We don't have any fancy displays, just the items sitting where people can grab them. It’s a plain and simple shop for anyone passing through Gajuwaka who needs a few groceries or a quick snack.
