Rehman Kiranastore

Down in Murali Nagar, we run Rehman Kiranastore. The address is 31-10-48 here in Visakhapatnam. It’s a quiet enough neighborhood compared to the main city center. We sell the basic stuff like grains, oils, and cleaning supplies. It’s a typical kirana shop. We don't have any fancy displays. Everything is just stacked where there is room. I’ve been working here for years now. My day starts with getting the milk packets ready and sweeping the front. Murali Nagar has changed a lot, with new buildings coming up, but we've stayed the same. We know our customers by name. Often, they just send their kids down with a list of things to buy. We pack it all up in brown paper bags or plastic if we have to. It's a steady life. The shop isn't very large, so we have to be organized. Sometimes the humidity in Vizag makes things feel a bit heavy, but we have a small fan that keeps us going. We don't do any big advertising. People just know we are here. If someone needs credit for a few days, we usually help out if we know them. It's a small community thing. We just try to keep the shelves full and the prices fair for everyone. We aren't looking to expand or do anything big. We just want to keep the shop running like it always has, and that is enough for us and our family.
