If you know the Co Operative Bank Lane in Shanti Puram then you have probably seen Rani Skin & Hair Care Beauty Parlour. We are right opposite the Iv Town Police Station and quite close to Agl College. Being near the college means we see a lot of young students coming in for quick haircuts or to get their hair colored during their breaks. It is a lively part of Visakhapatnam to be in. The police station across the road keeps the area feeling safe even when we stay open a bit late in the evenings. Our shop is simple with some older furniture but it works well for what we need. We handle both skin and hair stuff though most people just come in for a quick trim. The lane can get a bit crowded with parked scooters in the afternoon so sometimes it’s hard to find a spot. I remember when we first moved in here the street was much quieter. Now there are shops everywhere. We spend a lot of time cleaning up hair from the floor and washing the towels. It’s honest work. The humidity in Vizag can be tough on hair so we deal with a lot of frizzy styles. It’s just me and a couple of others working here most days. We don't have a big sign but most local people know where the lane is and they find us easily enough.
