Rama Krishna Kirana & General Stores

The shop has been here on the Main Road in Murali Nagar for quite some time now, right across from the Sum Complex. It is a busy spot because of all the traffic passing through Visakhapatnam, but we have our own pace inside. Most mornings start early, usually around seven, when the first few people stop by for milk or a small packet of tea. The shelves are packed with all kinds of things like different types of rice, dals, and those little household items that people suddenly realize they ran out of. It can get a bit cluttered behind the counter when new stock arrives, and we have to find space for everything. We don't really have a fancy system here, just our eyes and a notebook to keep track of what’s what. Some days are slow, especially when it gets really hot outside in the afternoon, but it picks up again when the sun goes down. Neighbors come in not just to buy stuff but to say a quick hello while we weigh out their sugar or flour. It’s just a regular kirana store where we try to keep the basic stuff people need for their kitchens every day. Sometimes the fan makes a bit of noise, and the floor needs constant sweeping because of the dust from the road, but that is just how it is. We are just part of the neighborhood here in 530007.
