Raju Boats

You can find Raju Boats over on Thompson Street, right near the Old Bus Stand Road. It’s a busy part of town with a lot of people moving through. We’ve been building and fixing boats here for quite some time. It’s a family-run kind of thing, and the workshop is usually filled with the sound of sawing and hammering. We work on smaller boats mostly, the kind that locals use for fishing or getting around the coastal waters. It’s a lot of wood and fiberglass work. The smell of resin can be pretty strong on some days, but we don't notice it much anymore. We don't have a marketing team or a website that we look at much. Most people just walk in because they saw our sign or someone told them we could fix a leak or paint a hull. Thompson Street is a bit crowded, so parking can be a pain for our visitors, but we make it work. We have a few guys who have been with us since they were young. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years, but the boat work stays pretty much the same. It’s honest work, and it keeps us busy from morning until the sun goes down. Sometimes we stay late if a customer really needs their boat back for the next morning's tide. It’s just how things go around here, and we wouldn't have it any other way.
