Rajendra Spices

You’ll find Rajendra Spices at 22-1-49 on Town Hall Road. If you know this area, you know how packed it gets with shoppers and carts. We are right in the middle of it all. We’ve been selling spices from this location for a long time, and the building itself is showing its age, but it works for us. We don't have air conditioning or fancy glass doors. We just have bags of whole spices, seeds, and powders sitting out where people can see and smell them. Most of our work is done in the back where we weigh things out into smaller packets for the daily shoppers or big sacks for the restaurant owners who come by early in the morning. It’s a noisy, dusty business, and our clothes always smell like cumin and cloves by the time we go home. We don't do any big marketing campaigns or have a sales team. Word of mouth is usually how people find us, or they just follow the scent when they’re walking down Town Hall Road. We try to keep things simple and avoid overcomplicating the process. If someone wants a half-kilo of something, we weigh it, wrap it in paper or a bag, and that’s that. We’ve seen many shops come and go on this street, but we’re still here, just doing the same honest work we’ve always done. It’s not glamorous, but it’s what we know.
