Working out of D-No-11-175 in Chandanapuri Colony means we see a lot of the same faces every day. Prahaladapuram is growing and we are right in the middle of it. Our office is filled with rolls of paper and blue prints that never seem to stay flat. There is always a layer of brick dust on the shoes of anyone who walks in here. We spend our mornings looking at maps and talking to contractors who are usually in a hurry. It isn’t a quiet place. There is always someone on the phone arguing about sand delivery or cement prices. We don't have fancy furniture, just some sturdy desks and chairs that have seen better days. When someone wants to build something, they come here and we try to map it out on paper. It takes time and a lot of coffee. The fans hum all afternoon trying to keep the heat away. Sometimes we are out at sites more than we are in the office. It’s hard work and the sun is usually pretty brutal. We don't do much talking except about the jobs we have on hand. If you walk past the colony, you’ll probably see us through the window hunched over a table. We’ve been here long enough that the locals know where to find us when they need a plan drawn up or a wall looked at. We just keep our heads down and handle the paperwork for the construction stuff.
