This shop is Om Mahalakshmi Kirana & General Stores and we are situated on the Main Road in Kancharapalem. Being in Visakhapatnam, we deal with a lot of people every single day. Our store is packed with all kinds of general items like soaps, shampoos, and various cooking ingredients. We try to keep the prices reasonable so that the local families can afford their monthly groceries without worry. It is a bit of a dusty environment because of all the traffic on the main road, but we clean as much as we can. My father started this place, and now we all help out to keep it going. There is no corporate structure here, just us making sure the shelves are not empty. Sometimes we get deliveries late in the evening and have to stay up to get everything inside. It is a hands-on job where you are always moving something or talking to someone. We have built good relationships with the people in this neighborhood over time. They know they can stop by for a single item or a whole month's supply. The shop might look a little cluttered with bags of onions and crates of soda, but that is just how a busy kirana store looks. We are happy to be here and serve the community in Kancharapalem. Every day brings something different, even if the work itself stays the same. We just keep the door open for everyone.
